Another sunny day.

Here we go again,a really lovely sunny day today
I will show this to my husband when he says later on in the year ,we not having any summer this year,lol.he always moans ,that we dont get any summer,I just hope this mini heat wave keeps up for a few more days,so my grandkids can have a great time on their hols.
My legs dont seem to like the warm weather,they have been aching for the last 2 days,I,m taking pain killers every few hours.so I can walk around a bit.
They are ok when I sit down,so I aint been doing a lot,lol.
I did cook a roast dinner,standing peeling the veg was a bummmer.
My lovely other half washed up,cos the dinner was great .
If it had been rubbish,I think I would have invited the dog next door round to wash them instead......................................He,ll lick anything clean.

Beautiful sunny day

first time this year the garden umberella came out.It was so hot you couldnt sit out in the garden for long.
Every thing in the garden is putting a spurt on in this mini heat wave.hope it lasts a few more days,my daughter and her family are off for a 5 day break on Monday.

My lovely birthday 15th May

heres my birthday bouquet,

Had a really great day yesterday,went out for dinner with most of my family.

Had lots of presents including Avatar [what a great film .]a lovely goose doorstop ,which I adore, silver and cream photo frame for my shabby chic front room.£60 of birthday money from my OH.

Ate a lovely steak meal ,my other daughter came up later with a birthday cake and pressies ,

Enjoyed the day no end,its nice to be with your family .

really enjoyable time,thanks kids.

well my blog seems to be turning into a garden story, it must be Spring as lots of bees about today and even saw 2 butterflies a few minutes ago,

garden is taken over by bluebells and forget me nots at the moment,that will soon change,

Thats what I love about the garden ,never stands still ,always something else to wonder at.

have 2 resident pigeons living in the silver birch trees ,just over our fence.think they might be the ones who dug up all the peas my Oh planted.lol.

Have a magpie which flies in ,with someone elses hard bread ,dips in our water bath,waits for it to soften ,then flies off to eat it on top of the shed.Wonder how he figured that one out.

We have an old stray tom cat who seems to have adopted us over the winter.

He comes in the morning ,through our cat flap ,eats our cats food and has a kip on the sofa in the back room.

Well May is here at last,weather warming up a little teeny bit.
My daffodils are nearly gone over now,they really made a lovely show this year.
The back garden is gradually going blue instead of yellow,with all the bluebells and violets and forget-me-nots.
Went and bought a few chrysanthemum plants to put some other colour in the border
Planted a few lots of bee seeds and some peas ,expect the birds will have a little feast.
Been having a bit of rain the last few days so haven,t been out there for 2 days.
Got a new patio set coming on Tuesday to replace the one that was stolen at new year,must remember to put it in the shed at night.
