Animal card,MSE challenge

Added a little more trim and a co-ordinating flower .

Heres my entry for the MSE challenge ,put an animal on your card .
Heres my giraffe,though my OH thought it was a cow.
The image was made from paper piecing ,BP and brads were from my stash
I havent added a sentiment yet as I'm not sure who its for yet.

H.O,M.E.

Had a hand sewing time ,for a change yesterday,found some offcuts of material,lurking in the back of a cupboard ,so decided to make some letters ,just to see if I could.

Heres the result,I started with cut out cardboard letters ,then covered them with material,stuffed them with polyester stuffing,from an old cushion,then trimmed them.

I think I went a bit overboard on the trimming,but I like them,lol.

I think this is a bit better

I added black lines to frame the image and narrower ones to pick out the doors of the card ,took off the lime green twirly bits as well

My really rubbish card

Took ages colouring in the fairy image,added glitter to her wings and dress ,then pasted it in to this french door card ,coloured the doors to match,but it doesn't look right,the colour is too bright,think I went over the front too much,really dont like it at all.

Is it maybe the green curly bits on the front? should I take them off ?

Feed back and comments welcome,wher did I go wrong with this card please?

Finished pop up page

Heres the finished"popup" page ,I've added some silver bits then added 2 pics of my 2 younger grand daughters

Picture is rather dark ,I need to get a better camera,but its so convenient to use my phone.

Hope you can see the effect I was trying to achieve.

Starting another page in my altered book

Heres the start of another double page spread in my altered book.
This has been this years project and its been a challenge thinking up something new for each page,lol.
This page was inspired by a kit of pop up childrens cards,that my grand daughters had.I recieved this flower pop up off one of the girls,so decided to take it to bits,make some for myself and put some down the middle of the page.
There are actually 4 bunches of pop up flowers down the middle.

I added extra flowers to each ,to give them a bit of oomph.

Now I want to put some kind of trail down each side to add pics on.

Its really satisfying to open the book and watch them pop up.

I always was fascinated with pop up books since a child.

Great grandson's birthday card

The dragon is holding a balloon with Mario on as my great grandson loves playing Mario.so I thought I would add him on the card ,on the front and inside for good measure.

Its pretty plain really ,but I hope he will like it on Friday.

I have to start making some male cards ,please make me start making some male orientiered cards,I am stuffed up with female pretty ,pretty cards ,but cant seem to get inspired to do some for the male members of the family.lol.

Anyway,this card is sooooooooo cute .

This first one is a freebie image of a fairy on a toadstool,aint she cute

she is coloured with pro markers and has glitter on her wings and clothes.

This one just evolved,I have had these cut outs for ages ,so I just cut out a hole and used them as a window.

The image behind is from Lily of the valley

Here she is all dressed up in her grown up clothes ,My kids used to do this when they were little ,always walked around in mine and my husband's shoes,lol.

She was coloured with my pro markers again

The sentiment was off a ribbon from crafty ribbons ,the butterfly is from my stash.

Exploding Mario box

A little mario box ,for a 7 year old boy

The box pieces are made from holographic card ,with the insides covered with bright paper.

I shall put some of his favourite sweets in a little bag in the centre.

My first exploding box

This is my very first attempt at an exploding box,the box turned out alright,but I dont like the cake in the middle,It looks as if it might fall apart on me ,maybe I'll remove and find something else to go in the centre of the box.

Teddy was coloured with water colour pencils,for a change

Another Trudy's dress card

Heres another try at Trudy in her best dress ,pic came out better as I took it outside in the sun.
This image is just amazing ,it is coloured with pro=markers ,the lace and flowers were from my stash .

just had to colour Trudy and make her a fabulous lace dress with little diamantes on,dont she look great in her Sunday best ,thanks to Maurie J Manning and her gorgeous designs.

Found these 2 decoupage images left on a sheet at the bottom of my paper box,so heres 2 cards I made with them ,I really like the way they ,jump,out of the card ,especially the yellow quad bike
