Just love this little owl image ,added a lace doyley background ,with swirly bits,added some extra diamante sparkles and rhinestone eyes
Then a little ribbon bow at the top

Those eyes are watching you,lol.

I added a pack of chocolate horlicks and a cup cake book mark.in the first pic .

Grand children and card making

heres my first card,a birthday card for my lovely grand daughter who will be 12 later on in the week
Shes into her dancing and has a lot of rossettes and medals.

A little card ,to go in my box for the Cancer charity shop,more in the making ,but not any photos.

Heres my little grandaughter,shes 7,lol.

This is the eldest one ,nearly 12 ,but you wouldnt believe it.Aint it nice to have kids behaving like kids these days,they had lots of fun with this old book.

Get well card

As a few of you may know,I am going in to hospital on Thursday for an op.,so I made my OH a 'get well' card ,so he wont have to go and buy me one,lol.
This was made with the beautiful backing papers ,I received in a little gift from The Wife,thanks,Jennie,there was such a wonderful selection ,it was so hard to pick favourite ones.
The flowers are some more of my handmade ones,the gems are from my stash.,the sentiment was a free print out.
The little wooden bird was bought off Ebay,cant remember the seller,sorry.

The end of my shady living room,bye bye trees.

My son frightens me being this high off the ground,the trees were about 25 feet high.

Some pics of my son,getting these pine trees down,they are shading the garden and causing a lot of moss to grow,so they had to go.

It goes against the grain to take these trees down ,they were planted by my eldest son over 38 years ago ,but they have had their day.

Tonight they are in a neighbours wood pile to help him through the Winter,so theyare being put to good use.

Bye ,bye trees and hullo to some more daylight in my gloomy living room.

A birthday card with handmade flowers

Heres a card I made for my card box,it has handmade paper flowers,as was shown on Kirsties homemade crafts,the other night They were so easy to make,I have loads in my flower box.

Little girls Hello Kitty card

Hello Kitty card for my youngest Grand daughter ,she loves pink .

This is my first card for ages ,life keeps getting in the way of my crafting.lol.

Union jack cushion

Got this cushion panel of flea bay,made it into a cushion,then decided it didn't have enough bling for me,so I added lace,ribbon and upholstery braid to bling it up
I really like it now,lol.

2 Small cards

Made these 2 smaller cards,5x5 inch,usually do bigger ones,last night ,to help fill up my card box.

The flowers above are suppossed to be sweet peas,the edging was copied off a youtube tutorial

Just finished hand sewing these padded letters ,now what am I going to do with them?
These letters are very addictive to make ,I just love hand sewing,very theraputic,lol.

Animal card,MSE challenge

Added a little more trim and a co-ordinating flower .

Heres my entry for the MSE challenge ,put an animal on your card .
Heres my giraffe,though my OH thought it was a cow.
The image was made from paper piecing ,BP and brads were from my stash
I havent added a sentiment yet as I'm not sure who its for yet.

H.O,M.E.

Had a hand sewing time ,for a change yesterday,found some offcuts of material,lurking in the back of a cupboard ,so decided to make some letters ,just to see if I could.

Heres the result,I started with cut out cardboard letters ,then covered them with material,stuffed them with polyester stuffing,from an old cushion,then trimmed them.

I think I went a bit overboard on the trimming,but I like them,lol.

I think this is a bit better

I added black lines to frame the image and narrower ones to pick out the doors of the card ,took off the lime green twirly bits as well

My really rubbish card

Took ages colouring in the fairy image,added glitter to her wings and dress ,then pasted it in to this french door card ,coloured the doors to match,but it doesn't look right,the colour is too bright,think I went over the front too much,really dont like it at all.

Is it maybe the green curly bits on the front? should I take them off ?

Picture is rather dark ,I need to get a better camera,but its so convenient to use my phone.

Starting another page in my altered book

Heres the start of another double page spread in my altered book.
This has been this years project and its been a challenge thinking up something new for each page,lol.
This page was inspired by a kit of pop up childrens cards,that my grand daughters had.I recieved this flower pop up off one of the girls,so decided to take it to bits,make some for myself and put some down the middle of the page.
There are actually 4 bunches of pop up flowers down the middle.

I added extra flowers to each ,to give them a bit of oomph.

Now I want to put some kind of trail down each side to add pics on.

Its really satisfying to open the book and watch them pop up.

I always was fascinated with pop up books since a child.
